Traditional chicken farming methods are relatively backward, failing to provide timely insights into chicken growth and optimal living conditions, often resulting in low profitability. Modern chicken coop environmental control systems enable scientific chicken farming. By constantly monitoring the coop environment, key parameters are tracked, and using existing hardware and monitoring equipment, an ideal environment for chicken growth is precisely created. This generates significant economic benefits for customers.

The poultry house environmental control system includes temperature, humidity, wind speed, and air pressure control systems. The environmental controller uses signals from temperature and humidity sensors to control the temperature and humidity of the poultry house within a set curve through ventilation, heating, water curtains, and cooling, meeting the requirements of poultry growth.

  1. Check the clock and age

Regularly check the clock and age of the environmental controller to ensure accuracy, and input poultry house parameters on time, such as mortality rate and age. Control variables such as temperature and humidity, ventilation volume, water volume, and lighting time change with the clock, age, and stocking density. Ensuring the accuracy of these parameters is crucial; otherwise, a suitable poultry environment for growth cannot be provided.

  2. Temperature and Humidity Control

Temperature control follows a curve from high to low. The temperature control points are set as the starting and ending temperatures within a specific time period, gradually changing from the starting temperature to the ending temperature during this period. For example, if the temperature control point is 25℃ on one day and 22.6℃ on the next, the hourly temperature change within 24 hours is (25-22.6)/24=0.1℃/h. The temperature control point at 7 am is 25-7×0.1=24.3℃. Humidity control differs from temperature control; the set humidity value for a period is constant and changes in the next period.

  3. Ventilation Size and Method

The size and method of ventilation affect energy efficiency and, consequently, the economic benefits of the enterprise. The ventilation volume depends on the number of fans involved. The higher the ventilation level, the more fans participate in ventilation. Ventilation has two operating modes: ventilation and cooling. The number of fans involved in these two operating modes is different. Generally, fewer fans are activated for ventilation than for cooling. When the ventilation system operates in cooling mode, "fan + wet curtain" can effectively lower the indoor temperature, but when the external humidity is higher than 70%, the cooling effect of the wet curtain gradually weakens. At this time, the wet curtain should be closed, the number of fans increased, the air exchange rate increased, and poultry heat stress reduced.

  4. Peripheral Equipment Control

The environmental controller can control many peripheral devices. In the peripheral device management menu, setting the peripheral devices to be effective and setting the control relays to work correctly is necessary. Peripheral devices that do not require control in the peripheral device management menu should not be set to take effect; otherwise, the environmental controller will not function properly. Enable the corresponding alarm functions according to the set peripheral devices and promptly address alarm situations.
